Exploring the full potential of the audio interface (RME Multi-face), using 8 separate balanced outputs and connecting them to 8 carefully selected amplifiers, we can design a real surround system, placing up to 8 speakers all around... and each speaker will receive a different audio signal!
The strength of the interface's drivers allows dedicated audio sequencing software to create interconnected sound sessions that are deeply traveling through the space.
In another configuration, it is possible to setup the amplifiers in the usual design of main PA & monitors (L/R out + 6 monitors). For either conficurations compact Tripath chip amplifiers are delivering crips clear sound up to 800 Watt.
The whole recording system and the amplification have been specifically designed to be powered on DC currect (batteries). In particular, connecting the sound system to a recharging source (solar panels) in an appropriate location would allow to power the sound sustainably.
Specific conditions are required as the basic setup proceeds to completion.

This project is a tribute to the amazing concept album, recorded in 1973 by the italian band Metamorfosi. The album itself, entitled
"Inferno" (地獄 Hell), is a masterpiece of italian progressive rock and features the journey through a modern day Hell where we encounter drug dealers, racists and mafia-people amongst other figures, condemned to eternal suffering.
Selected urban scenes and documents of modern history, alternated with some of the
famous hand drawn pictures of Gustave Dore' give all together a flowing
background to the dynamics of the soundtrack.
The Butoh performance remarks the hot spots in the journey, holding the audience in a multidimensional experience.
